Python Coding 101

Coding with Python isn’t just for high level coders in big companies or tech startups! Kids can code with Python too, so lets break down what exactly it means to code with Python.

What is Python?

Python is a high-level coding language that is used primarily for website and app developments. However, it also has many other uses such as writing computer scripts (instructions for your computer) and mathematical computation. What’s great about Python is that it focuses on user readability. This feature makes Python a great language to learn for beginners as it is easier for the code to be managed and understood.

Some very popular websites are coded through Python! This includes Instagram, Google and Netflix.

Can kids really learn Python?

Yes! You may have heard that Python is used in many big tech companies, but that doesn’t mean that your kids can’t learn to code with it as well. As with any skill, there are often many levels to mastering it. The more you practice and immerse yourself into Python coding, the more you will pick up and be able to output and create. The code that your kids will learn now with Python can be adapted and integrated as they continue to grow in life!
